We're Hiring a CFO to Help Lead Synergy Pet Group Into Its Next Chapter of Growth—and Toward a Future Liquidity Event

Synergy Pet Group is a rapidly scaling, PE-backed, post–Series A platform operating two high-performing brands: Pet Benefit Solutions and Shepherd Veterinary Solutions . With strong recurring revenue, accelerating growth, and an active M&A pipeline, we are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to be the CEO’s strategic partner and architect our financial strategy through the next phase of scale and value creation.

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned financial executive who has helped guide a company through fundraising, capital structuring, major transactions, or an exit —and is energized by building a disciplined, high-performance finance organization in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

What You’ll Lead

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Shape and execute financial strategy across a multi-brand platform.

• Drive capital allocation, resource planning, forecasting, KPIs, and board-level financial insight.

• Partner closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and our private equity sponsor to steer strategic initiatives.

Operational Excellence & Scale

• Build best-in-class accounting, FP&A, and reporting infrastructure.

• Strengthen controls, compliance, and risk management.

• Develop dashboards and reporting that deliver real-time clarity and operational discipline.

Capital Strategy & Investor Relations

• Lead capital planning, cash management, and working capital optimization.

• Serve as primary finance liaison to private equity partners, lenders, and the board.

• Prepare the company—strategically and operationally—for future capital events, including M&A, recapitalizations, or a strategic sale.

M&A & Integration

• Drive financial diligence, valuation, and deal modeling for new acquisitions.

• Lead post-acquisition integration to maximize synergy and value creation across the platform.

Team & Culture Leadership

• Mentor and elevate a high-performing finance, accounting, and HR team.

• Promote a culture of clarity, urgency, accountability, and candor.

• Help us adapt, innovate, and thrive year after year.

Who You Are

• A successful CFO or senior financial leader with experience in PE-backed , SaaS , benefits , pet/veterinary , insurance , or healthtech environments.

• A strategic thinker with the discipline to execute.

• Experienced in guiding organizations through major financial events—fundraising, debt/equity financing, M&A, or exits.

• Highly credible with boards, investors, and lenders.

• Comfortable leading across hybrid environments and building strong relationships with both HQ and remote teams.

• Bonus: Experience readying a company for IPO, strategic sale, or PE exit.
