Base Pay Range

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze business and financial data.
  • Prepare selected data analyses as directed by Assistant Controller.
  • Record and reconcile escrow account activity.
  • Prepare all aspects of financial statement package including journal entries, general ledger analysis and distribution of reports.
  • Reconcile bank and escrow statements to general ledger.
  • Record accrued expenses for month‑end close.
  • Ensure timely payment of all debt, utilities, real estate taxes and insurance.
  • Prepare monthly work papers to ensure audit readiness.
  • Assist in the development of automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and make recommendations based on those trends.
  • Assist in preparation for year‑end audits and other special assignments as needed.
  • Attend relevant training sessions keeping current on such subjects as LIHTC as pertinent to project parameters.
  • Recommend and implement continual internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions for process improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Two years of relevant experience in finance; asset management experience a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; intermediate to advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to pressure, work independently, proficiently, efficiently and must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
  • Strong resonance with the RiseBoro Community Partnership mission.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Accounting or equivalent experience
