Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $62,000‑$92,000 (potential increases based on experience and certification)

Role Summary

Deliver engaging, standards‑based instruction using Responsive Classroom strategies, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to refine practice.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high academic standards for all students, believing in their ability to learn.
  • Develop quality Common Core aligned lesson plans.
  • Use student assessment data to inform curriculum and instruction.
  • Maximize learning time with effective classroom management.
  • Create an inviting learning environment with varied techniques for diverse learners.
  • Demonstrate deep mastery of instructional subject area.
  • Show growth in student achievement from prior teaching roles.
  • Collaborate with peers and instructional leaders for curricular coherence.
  • Engage families through intentional relationship building.
  • Maintain energy, enthusiasm, and a solutions‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience teaching K‑12 in classrooms (urban, public charter, or Title I preferred).
  • NY teacher certification or working toward certification (plus).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA.
