Role Overview

Join the nation's largest minority & women‑owned law firm to handle high‑exposure general liability litigation, focusing on trucking, cargo loss, auto accidents, and premises liability.

Responsibilities

• Case strategy and litigation management for trucking, cargo loss, auto accident, and premises liability matters.
• Advocacy in courtrooms and mediations in state and federal courts.
• Legal research and writing: motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and memoranda.
• Discovery and evidence preparation: witness depositions, discovery management, and expert witness coordination.
• Coverage and risk assessment: evaluate insurance coverage and litigate coverage disputes.
• Client counseling and litigation risk management.

Qualifications

• 3‑6 years of litigation experience with a focus on general liability, trucking, cargo loss, auto accidents, and premises liability.
• Prior federal court litigation experience highly preferred.
• Insurance coverage experience a plus.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills; experience in motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
• Admission to federal court (or eligibility for admission).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and time‑billing software.
