Rate/Salary: $115.00/hr - $125.00/hr (W2)

Job Description: World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Leader of Enterprise Architecture for a 3+ months contract to Hire position based in USA, as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts.

The Leader of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution of enterprise architecture across the organization. This role ensures technology investments align with business objectives, drives digital transformation, and enables innovation at scale. The leader will build and mentor a high-performing architecture team, foster cross‑functional collaboration, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

Ideal Experience, Knowledge, & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in enterprise architecture leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading large‑scale, cross‑functional technology initiatives in a complex, global organization.
  • Experience building and managing high‑performing teams.
  • Deep expertise in architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud security, and cloud economics.
  • Strong background in data architecture, analytics, and AI/ML enablement.
  • Experience with cybersecurity architecture, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in application modernization, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
  • Understanding of ITIL, ITSM, and service management best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the energy sector or other asset‑intensive industries.
  • Advanced certifications (TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, CISSP, CISM, PMP).
  • Experience with M&A, digital transformation, or operational excellence programs.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other major enterprise platforms.
  • Experience in upstream oil and gas exploration and production, especially the unique application portfolio that supports this business.
  • Knowledge of business process re‑engineering principles and processes.
  • Agile experience (especially SAFE Agile), and organizational transformation from waterfall to Agile.
  • Experience dealing with the unique architecture challenges of a global enterprise with a diverse and widely distributed organization.
  • Experience administering and sanctioning AWS and Azure cloud offerings to be used by other development teams.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or other large enterprise ERP systems.
  • An understanding of the concepts involved in “zero trust” network architectures and computing environments.
