Enterprise Data Architect or Data Modelling Lead

Will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data capabilities as part of the strategic and critical Enterprise Data Transformation (EDT) program. This individual‑contributor role focuses on delivering a modern enterprise‑wide lakehouse that offers scalable, reliable, and business‑intuitive data architecture to support self‑service capabilities across Data & Analytics solutions. The incumbent will partner closely with cross‑functional teams, building an enterprise data model that supports Analytics, GenBI, AI/ML, and Data Sandboxing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform (data lakes, warehouses, governance, data quality, observability, etc.) aligned with business objectives and technological advancements.
• Rapidly deliver design and development of the enterprise data model (functional, logical, physical) in advanced cloud‑based solutions such as AWS‑based Databricks, ensuring seamless data integration, quality, compliance, and security.
• Map existing legacy data warehouses to an enterprise‑level data model that fits within a medallion architecture lakehouse platform, preparing for current and future GenAI analytics needs.
• Partner with business stakeholders and internal data solutions teams to empower business for self‑service.
• Collaborate with IT and business with a product mindset, ensuring data models meet business needs and drive innovation.
• Encourage continuous improvement by challenging existing processes & solutions and proposing new scalable and creative solutions.
• Own accountability and ownership of delivery, driving projects to completion.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT‑related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; OR 9+ years of IT‑related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of programming experience (e.g., Java, Python).
• 3+ years of experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• 3+ years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 12+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or data science roles, with at least 7 years in building enterprise‑level data models for data modernization and DW migration.
• Strong understanding and hands‑on experience with lakehouse medallion data architecture and governance.
• Proven implementation experience migrating legacy DW data models to a 3‑layer medallion architecture.
• Strong passion for exploring GenAI‑based solutions and building strategic data models for Databricks.
• Experience with machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills for a global hybrid delivery model.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with strategic thought process, self‑initiative, and proactive soft skills.
