Northwest Indiana (Full Onsite Role) We are seeking a dynamic and strategic
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to join a growing, privately held organization in
Northwest Indiana . This is a highly visible, onsite leadership role for an accomplished finance executive who can bring strategic vision, operational insight, and financial discipline to help drive the next phase of the company's growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in
private equity-backed environments , demonstrate proven success in
M&A activity , and bring a strong balance of
strategic leadership and hands-on financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic financial leadership, guiding the executive team and ownership in long-term business planning, growth, and profitability initiatives.
Direct all financial functions, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and risk management.
Lead M&A activities including due diligence, integration, and financial modeling to support acquisition and divestiture decisions.
Partner with private equity stakeholders, lenders, and investors to deliver transparent financial reporting and drive value creation.
Implement and optimize internal controls, policies, and systems to support scalability and compliance.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes with a focus on performance improvement and cost efficiency.
Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team while fostering collaboration across departments.
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and ownership group, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required;
CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Minimum
7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience , including senior leadership responsibilities.
Experience working within
private equity-owned or investor-backed organizations.
Proven background in
M&A execution , including financial due diligence, modeling, and post-acquisition integration.
Strong strategic, analytical, and operational mindset with the ability to drive results.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of building and developing effective teams.
Hands-on, business-partner approach with a deep understanding of operational drivers and performance metrics.
