Overview Software Engineer 1

– the Virtual Expert Platform (VEP) team is looking for a full‑stack engineer to deliver innovative, high‑volume experiences for TurboTax and QuickBooks Live. Our team works with product managers to create amazing user interfaces, using Java, JavaScript, React and Spring Boot. We follow agile processes and prioritize engineering growth.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, maintain and document front‑end and back‑end components using Java and JavaScript (React).

Build customer‑facing applications from design through implementation, contributing to the architecture.

Write code for 70–85 % of the work, resolving defects throughout QA, pre‑production, production and post‑release.

Collaborate with product management, QA/QE, other Intuit teams and business units to deliver results.

Participate actively in Agile (SCRUM/XP) ceremonies and practices.

Qualifications 2+ years of experience building web applications in Java (or Kotlin) and JavaScript. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related experience is required. Additionally:

Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.

3+ years of experience with React and JavaScript.

3+ years of experience with Git and version control.

Hands‑on experience with the full SDLC and unit testing/TDD.

Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues to diverse stakeholders.

A passion for applying technical skill to serve customers.

Compensation & Benefits Intuit offers a competitive base salary, potential cash bonus, equity, and benefits. The estimated base pay range is $91,800–$137,600, based on experience and location.
