Step into a role far from ordinary and take part in transforming naval simulation, training, and analysis at Leidos' High Fidelity Simulation Business Area. Your expertise will directly impact and shape U.S. Navy operational capabilities.

Why Leidos Stands Out As a Graphics Software Developer, you’ll work at the forefront of technology on critical training systems such as CIAT – Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer. You’ll craft real‑time, three‑dimensional graphics systems including submarine periscope, bridge, and ship weapons simulation. All software is developed in Linux, written in C++ and OpenGL, and utilizes the Unreal Graphics Engine.

Make a Real-World Impact Your contributions will be integral to real‑world naval operations and you may travel to strategic locations such as Pearl Harbor, San Diego, and Norfolk.

Are You the Innovator We’re Looking For? Do you hold an advanced degree or have ongoing education in computer science, advanced math, or physics? Ideal candidates have expertise in 3D Game Development, Visual Modeling and Simulation, VR/XR Development, multi‑threading, GPU shader programming and optimization, and data visualization.

Required Education & Experience

Education: B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required upon employment).

Skills: Minimum 10 years developing applications in C++; at least 8 years in Game/3D Simulation or visual simulation; experience with a graphics engine (Unreal, OpenSceneGraph, etc.); at least 1 year developing on Linux.

Preferred Experience

Education: Advanced degree or ongoing education in computer science, or advanced math/physics background.

Skills: Knowledge of CPU/GPU hardware, high‑performance computing, hardware architecture, CUDA/OpenCL, VR headset development, GLSL/HLSL, OpenGL, Vulkan or similar APIs.

Tools: Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot, OpenSceneGraph, or VulkanSceneGraph; familiarity with Nvidia Nsight or similar profiling tools.

Bonus Experience

Modeling tools: 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, or similar.

Pay Range $107,900.00 – $195,050.00 (guideline only; final compensation depends on experience, skills, etc.)
