Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr

We are looking for a collaborative Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Northeast transportation group of over 40 transportation planners, traffic and ITS engineers and operations specialists with a wide variety of talent and experience. You’ll take a leading role in traffic studies, traffic analysis, traffic signal, signing, and marking designs, plans, specifications and estimates for traffic improvements, and other traffic engineering work tasks. You will also help build our growing team of traffic engineering professionals across the northeast. Partnering with our sales team, this role will also have an external focus expanding our portfolio of projects with northeast public agency transportation clients. Joining our team, you’ll have the chance to apply your experience to work on exciting and engaging large‑scale infrastructure projects and utilize your traffic expertise to create innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.

Professional Engineering (PE) License, or ability to obtain one.

Experience leading the development of traffic studies, traffic signal design, plans, specifications and estimates for traffic engineering improvements for public agency clients.

Knowledge of Federal standards and requirements.

Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits.

Must be resourceful, curious, and self‑directed.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) Certification.

Project management and leadership experience.

Knowledge and experience using various software including Synchro and VISSIM.
