Base pay range $135,000.00/yr – $185,000.00/yr

As our infrastructure ages and the world population increases, Jacobs’ worldwide staff of professionals use new technology and expertise to develop innovative solutions to address future transportation demand.

Our team in the Northeast is looking for a collaborative Senior Traffic Engineer to lead traffic studies, traffic analysis, signal, signing, and marking designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic improvements.

You will also help build our growing team of traffic engineering professionals across the northeast and partner with the sales team to expand our portfolio with public agency clients.

You’ll have the chance to work on large‑scale infrastructure projects and apply your expertise to create innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Professional Engineering (PE) License, or the ability to obtain one.

Experience leading the development of traffic studies, signal design, plans, specifications and estimates for public‑agency clients.

Knowledge of federal standards and requirements.

Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits.

Resource‑oriented, curious, and self‑directed.

Preferred qualifications

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) Certification.

Project management and leadership experience.

Knowledge and experience with Synchro and VISSIM.
