Pediatric Acute Care Fellowship Program Open Position in Washington D.C.
The Children's National Pediatric Acute Care Fellowship is open for applicants. This is a 1-year, accredited program for pediatricians or family medicine physicians who have completed their residency training at an ACGME-accredited institution. The program is affiliated with the Division of Emergency Medicine. We provide training in skills ranging from procedural care to bedside ultrasound, research, advocacy, health-care leadership, and quality improvement. Graduates are prepared to address the evolving health care needs of children with acute illnesses. Our alumni are successfully employed at prestigious academic hospitals and both affiliated and independent ambulatory sites.
Qualifications
Completion of medical school in the U.S. or Canada.
Completion of ACGME-accredited pediatric, med/peds, or family medicine residency prior to July 1, 2027.
Board certified or eligible in pediatrics or family medicine.
Successful completion with a passing grade of all three steps of the USMLE.
Three letters of recommendation from training program or employer.
Successfully able to obtain a District of Columbia unrestricted medical license prior to starting fellowship training.
Fellowship start date: July 1, 2027

Qualifications
