Position Description The Department of Mathematics, within the School of Physical Sciences at UC San Diego, invites applications for Stefan E. Warschawski Visiting Assistant Professorships in all areas of Mathematics, Statistics, and related topics. All positions are subject to availability of funding. These positions are aimed at new and recent PhDs whose work demonstrates strong potential in mathematical research and are three‑year nonrenewable appointments.

Teaching in Mathematics, Statistics, and related topics will be expected, with a teaching load of four quarter courses per year. Lecture courses will be at the undergraduate upper and lower division levels.
