Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients seeking routine care or critical health insights.
- This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring procedures are performed safely, accurately, and professionally.
- The PSR I builds patient trust by clearly explaining procedures and demonstrating excellence in customer service while maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation accurately.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required.
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
