Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients who visit as part of their health routine or for life-defining health decisions.
  • The role involves drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • The Patient Services Representative I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
  • The role demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Maintain required records and documentation accurately.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Experience:
  • Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience required.
  • One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a patient-focused environment.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
