Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients arriving for routine health needs or important health decisions.
  • The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established procedures.
  • This role requires direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence through skillful, safe, and accurate specimen collection.
  • The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in patient information.
  • Applicants may be assigned to a doctor s office, a patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong customer focus, clear communication skills, and adaptability to change.
Experience:
  • 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Experience in a patient service center preferred.
  • Customer service experience strongly preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain initials/signature to confirm accurate labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and employees.
Skills:
  • Strong phlebotomy skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume setting.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
