Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the organization to patients seeking routine care or critical health insights.
  • This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring procedures are completed safely, accurately, and professionally.
  • The role requires direct patient interaction, strong customer service skills, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Assignments may include physician offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct specimen labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license with a clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Ability to travel and work across multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent communication and adaptability.
Experience:
  • One to three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience required.

Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
