Join our Sibley Nursing Team as an In-Patient Oncology Registered Nurse Johns Hopkins Medicine‑Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. was ranked among the top hospitals – fourth in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area by U.S. News & World Report in 2024.

With its 318 beds, this non‑profit, full‐service acute care hospital offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a 24‑hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.

Specialized Unit Details 25‑bed Oncology unit with a BMT specialty component, an emphasis on the acute hematology patients and symptom management for all persons experiencing issues related to their cancer diagnosis.

Unit / Schedule

25 Bed Inpatient Oncology unit

Full‑time 36 hours/week, benefitted

12‑hour Night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

Minimum Education and Experience

Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia

Graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nurses

1+ year RN experience

Chemo/bio‑Therapy Certification preferred or obtain within 1 year of hire; fully paid for by Sibley Memorial Hospital.

AHA CPR card

Salary Range Minimum $41.99/hour – Maximum $65.08/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
