Job Title: Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift
Job Location: Mount Laurel NJ
Job Duration: 3 months of contract with possible extension / Temp to Hire
Shift: 3rd Shift: Mon - Fri, 6:30am - 3:00pm, every other Sat, 8:00am - 12:00pm
Payrate: $21.80/hr. on W2

Job Summary:

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who visit for routine health checks or critical diagnostic testing.
  • The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a professional, safe, and compassionate patient experience.
  • This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy at all times.
  • Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities accurately, efficiently, and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and confirm tube labeling with patients post-venipuncture to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain required records, documentation, and logs.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.
  • Exhibit leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment .
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, overtime, and travel as needed.
  • Commitment to all company Policies & Procedures , including dress code, safety, and confidentiality standards.
  • Sound decision-making and judgment based on established procedures.
  • Reliable transportation , valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record (if applicable).
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service and professional communication with patients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Willingness to adapt and embrace change while maintaining business knowledge and professionalism.

Education & Certification

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Required: Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Additional Details:

  • Self-starter with strong organizational abilities.
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
