Job Summary This position is primarily responsible for the review of new accounts/re-profiling KYC/CDD and EDD as applicable, including BSA related documentation in line with BSA/AML/OFAC Program requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review/approve compliance with CIP for complex/higher risk new accounts in line with BSA/AML/OFAC Program requirements, including but not limited to: non-resident alien and resident alien prospects.
Review/approve KYC/CDD and EDD on complex/higher risk new accounts in line with BSA/AML/OFAC Program requirements, including but not limited to: multi-layer and foreign entities.
Review on a risk-based approach re-profiled accounts to ensure compliance with on-going profiling methodology.
Review of customer records and follow up to ensure appropriate action is obtained, including documentation as applicable.
Assist Client Facing Associates with any issues related to CIP/KYC/CDD and EDD requirements as outlined in the BSA/AML/OFAC Program.
Report to the Chief BSA/AML/OFAC Officer any unusual and/or suspicious circumstances detected through the review of profiles and documentation.
Assist with special projects as assigned by the Chief BSA/AML/OFAC Officer.
Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
Education and/or Experience
5+ years of related experience, with emphasis on BSA CIP/CDD/EDD.
Proficient knowledge of BSA/AML (CIP/CDD/EDD);
Proficient knowledge of complex international business structures, documentation and filing requirements;
Proficient knowledge of legal status terminology for individuals and applicable identification requirements;
Excellent attention to detail and “follow through” skills;
Strong technical and research skills.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to understand and draw conclusions from research conducted.
Takes initiatives, is proactive, self-motivator, self-starter, result driven out of the box thinker.
Must have ongoing sense of urgency and high level of flexibility.
Maintains current on BSA/AML/OFAC news and events as well as regulatory updates.
Bilingual preferred
