About NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn
NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn is a full-service, 450-bed teaching hospital that offers a diverse range of services – including one of the busiest Emergency Departments and Level I Trauma Centers in Brooklyn. It is a N.Y.S. designated Stroke Center, STEMI Center, bariatric center of excellence, and a perinatal care center certified by The Joint Commission. NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn has a robust and high-volume OB program, with approximately 4000 deliveries per year.
Position Overview The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Brooklyn campus is seeking an Obstetrical Physician Patient Safety Officer. This full-time hospital-based physician will join an existing practice of four safety officers responsible for providing patient care and overseeing the practice of 40 obstetricians and 17 advanced practice providers at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn's busy Labor and Delivery Unit. Work responsibilities include a maximum of 13 sessions per month, and each session is 12 hours.

We are seeking an individual who can effectively communicate, is passionate about patient safety and quality, and who enjoys working in a high volume, high acuity, multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
Compensation Salary: $300,000 plus a competitive benefit package.
Qualifications
Board certified with a minimum 5 years clinical experience with continuous active practice in Obstetrics.
Demonstrated strong commitment to safe, high quality, state‑of‑the‑art patient care as well as trainee education.
Successfully completed a U.S. Accredited OB/GYN Residency training program and have a New York State Medical license.
