Counsel (Intellectual Property Litigation) Location

Our Intellectual Property Practice Group works closely with clients to remove obstacles, helping them stay ahead of evolving copyright, trademark, and entertainment laws and judicial decisions. We provide strategic solutions for enforcing and defending against copyright, trademark, and entertainment-related litigation claims. Responsibilities
Direct responsibility includes drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation; drafting and responding to complex discovery; conferring, negotiating, and communicating with opposing counsel; preparing for, defending, and conducting depositions; preparing and presenting oral argument at hearings; preparing for trial including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions in limine, and witness preparation; and preparing appellate briefs. Qualifications
At least eight to ten years of trademark, copyright, and entertainment litigation and counseling experience, including significant experience drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, experts, and overall litigation strategy. Trial experience is a plus. Strong academic credentials, superb judgment and communication skills, and a commitment to excellent client service required. Compensation
Anticipated annual salary ranges (depending on location): Los Angeles, CA: $250,000–$275,000 San Francisco, CA: $250,000–$275,000 Chicago, IL: $250,000–$275,000 New York City, NY: $250,000–$275,000 Washington, DC: $250,000–$275,000 Additional contingent compensation based on performance and other factors may be included.
