Schedule Hours are Friday‑Tuesday 11pm–7:30am.

Job Description Performs complex laboratory tests and analyses on blood and body fluids to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role ensures accurate, timely, and quality results while adhering to regulatory standards and laboratory protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Perform hematology testing, including complete blood counts (CBC), coagulation studies, and peripheral blood smear evaluations.

Operate and maintain hematology analyzers and related laboratory equipment.

Validate and interpret test results; identify and troubleshoot discrepancies.

Prepare and review quality control data; ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory requirements.

Assist in specimen collection, processing, and storage according to established protocols.

Document all procedures and maintain accurate records in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education to maintain competency.

Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and other laboratory staff to support patient care.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment following infection control and safety guidelines.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.

Certification: ASCP or equivalent certification required (or eligibility within 6 months).

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hematology laboratory experience preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of hematology principles and instrumentation.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex data accurately.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficiency with laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $45.00/hr.
