Position Summary
The Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Health seeks qualified individuals for the position of Section Chief, Thoracic Oncology Program. The successful candidate will lead thoracic oncology, develop clinical and translational research programs, oversee a portfolio of clinical trials, and mentor junior faculty. They must be eligible for appointment as associate professor or professor.
Program Overview The Center is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with robust Phase I and disease‑specific clinical trials programs. Faculty demonstrate national leadership in early‑phase and investigator‑initiated trials, offering a diverse trial portfolio and pioneering immunotherapy advancements.
Responsibilities
Lead the thoracic oncology program and collaborate with senior cancer‑center leadership.
Develop and advance the clinical and translational research program.
Create and oversee a portfolio of clinical trials.
Mentor junior faculty.
Qualifications
Substantial leadership experience.
Qualified clinician investigator.
Eligible for appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor.
