Modernization Application Developer
TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
Salary Range: $117,000 - $140,600 per year
Ops Tech Alliance is seeking a
Modernization Application Developer
to help transform legacy systems into secure, scalable, and cloud-ready applications. In this role, you’ll design and build modern application components that power mission success and enterprise innovation.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with architects, analysts, and integration specialists to deliver software solutions that are efficient, reliable, and future-focused. THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
Responsibilities Design and develop application modules that modernize legacy systems and meet evolving mission requirements Implement cloud-native features, microservices, and APIs to enhance performance and scalability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and deliver functional solutions Participate in Agile sprints, peer code reviews, and DevSecOps workflows Ensure applications are built to meet cybersecurity compliance, testing, and documentation standards
Required Qualifications Current Top Secret security clearance with Polygraph Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevSecOps practices Experience with version control systems such as Git
Desired Qualifications Experience in application modernization for government systems Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Developer Associate, Azure Developer Associate)
