Application QA Engineer
TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
Salary Range: $81,000 - $98,000 per year
Ops Tech Alliance is looking for an
Application Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
to help ensure our mission-critical applications meet the highest standards. In this role, you’ll design and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and security. You’ll work closely with developers, analysts, and DevSecOps teams to catch issues early and support secure software development from start to finish. THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on system requirements and user stories
Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools
Collaborate with development and system engineering teams to understand application functionality and resolve defects
Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, usability, and security standards in both cloud and hybrid environments
Conduct regression, integration, user acceptance, and security testing throughout the SDLC
Participate in Agile sprint planning and retrospectives to support continuous quality improvement
Required Qualifications
Top Secret security clearance with polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in software quality assurance and testing
Experience developing test cases and documentation for complex systems
Familiarity with testing tools, bug tracking systems, and scripting languages
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC processes
Desired Qualifications
Experience in DevSecOps environments and Agile development cycles
Knowledge of GitLab, JIRA, Selenium, or other testing and collaboration tools
Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community software projects
Certification such as ISTQB, CSTE, or other QA credentials
