About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary International Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations across our global business. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving sustainable growth, ensuring financial integrity, and aligning financial management with the company’s international expansion goals.
While experience is valued, we will also consider candidates with less experience who show strong potential.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the global financial strategy aligned with the company’s mission and long-term objectives
Advise the CEO, executive team, and Board on financial performance, risk management, and growth opportunities
Support international expansion, mergers & acquisitions, and capital-raising activities.
Financial Management & Planning
Oversee global budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting in compliance with international accounting standards
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations worldwide
Governance & Risk Management
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, compliance frameworks, and audit processes across multiple jurisdictions
Identify financial and operational risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them
Ensure compliance with local tax, regulatory, and legal requirements in all operating regions
Operational Excellence
Lead and mentor international finance teams, building high-performing, cross-border finance functions
Implement modern financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability
Partner with business units and regional leaders to optimize performance and profitability
Investor & Stakeholder Relations
Manage relationships with investors, banks, auditors, regulators, and external partners
Support fundraising, investor reporting, and corporate governance requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally proven experience as a
CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial executive
ideally in a start-up environment
Strong expertise in
corporate finance, capital markets, international tax, and cross-border regulations
Solid track record of managing multi-country financial operations, preferably in energy, technology, manufacturing
Experience with
M&A, fundraising, and investor relations
Advanced degree in
Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
Familiar with common financial software such as SAP
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
English fluent is a must, other languages a plus
This role requires an international landscape candidate who is flexible and excited about extensive travel opportunities and working across various cultures
