Senior Business Intelligence Engineer
Location: District of Columbia, United States
Base Pay Range $89,000 – $121,400 per year
Responsibilities The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications, and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data to create insightful and actionable business information. This position utilizes data to identify process improvements through root‑cause analysis, drives a better understanding of the data, and helps determine and maintain quality and controls methodology around data analytics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data engineering, and reporting
Minimum 5 years of SQL experience
Minimum 5 years of experience with Power BI or similar visualization tool
Minimum 2 years of SSIS experience or similar ETL tools
Minimum 2 years of Python experience
Minimum 1 year of experience developing automations for business processes using scripting languages
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and creating data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
Work‑At‑Home Requirements
Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps (wireless, wired cable or DSL recommended)
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection allowed only with leadership approval
Associates who live and work from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota receive a bi‑weekly payment for internet expense
Humana provides telephone equipment appropriate to meet business requirements for Home or Hybrid associates
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect Member PHI/HIPAA information

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
