Trustpoint.One is pleased to be partnering with a well-established, highly regarded Michigan-based law firm in their search for an Aerospace Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Michigan and located in the Detroit Metro Area and meet the following requirements:
At least eight years of prior legal experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracts law.
At least three years of experience with DoD procurement processes, ITAR/EAR regulations, national security law, and classified contracts (e.g., working under DD254, security clearances).
Strong understanding of the U.S. defense industrial base and international defense markets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and risk assessment skills.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on issues in government and commercial contracts.
Draft, review, and negotiate government and defense contracts.
Counsel on bid protests, contract performance, and subcontracting, including representing clients in administrative or court proceedings.
Handle contract disputes and terminations.
Ability to work cross-functionally in high-stakes, confidential environments.
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to provide informed legal advice.
All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
