Why You Should Join This is a rare opportunity to work at the frontier of web and AI infrastructure, helping build foundational systems that allow AI agents to interact with the web as fluently as humans. The team is backed by top-tier investors, has significant seed funding, and is led by respected builders from the AI and systems world.

You’ll join an elite, high-trust engineering culture that values speed, ownership, and craft. Engineers here have full visibility across product, infra, and research—this is not a narrow role, but one with scope and leverage.

What You’ll Work On

Build backend infrastructure and APIs that power AI-native interactions with large-scale web data

Design systems for retrieval, ranking, parsing, and reasoning—turning unstructured data into actionable knowledge

Collaborate across research, product, and design teams to move ideas from concept to production

Ship core systems used in real-world customer-facing AI applications

Help define best practices in infra, observability, and performance optimization for agent-based computing

Ideal Profile

2–6 years of software engineering experience, ideally at high-velocity startups or AI-first product teams

Background in infrastructure, backend systems, or AI/ML engineering

Hands-on experience building APIs and backend services in Python (bonus: Rust or C++)

Product sensibility and ownership mindset—you ship code that matters

Strong engineering fundamentals, with proof of technical depth via prior work, research, or academic achievement

Bonus Backgrounds

Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent orchestration, or real-time data systems

Academic or project pedigree (e.g. Olympiads, SAIL, MIT CSAIL, IITs, or impactful open-source work)

Familiarity with production AI systems, evaluation pipelines, and real-time inference tooling

Team & Culture

In-person culture based in Palo Alto (with flexibility for SF commuters)

Low process, high agency environment focused on impact

Everyone is a builder: you own what you ship, and your work is immediately visible

Strong mentorship, elite technical bar, and high trust across the org

This role is ideal for engineers who want to shape the foundation of how AI interacts with the modern web—moving fast, building real systems, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with exceptional teammates.
