Job Summary: A growing real estate investment and management group is bringing property management in-house for the first time and is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to lead operational and financial oversight of a portfolio of multifamily and office properties. This is a hands‑on role based in Brooklyn, with regular travel to properties across markets. The right candidate will play a key role in shaping and growing the asset management function as the company expands.
Responsibilities:
Own and execute business plans for a portfolio of multifamily and office properties
Drive property performance through NOI growth, rent optimization, and value‑add initiatives
Create and manage annual budgets, track performance, and lead reforecasting efforts
Oversee capex execution and ensure alignment with ownership goals
Collaborate with third‑party leasing, property management, and construction partners
Visit sites regularly to support and oversee onsite teams and ensure operational efficiency
Analyze property and market performance to inform strategic decisions
Utilize Yardi (required) and AppFolio (preferred) for reporting, tracking, and property oversight
Requirements:
5+ years of asset management experience in real estate, with a focus on multifamily and commercial properties
Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, leasing, and operations
Experience driving performance across portfolios spanning multiple markets
Proficiency with Yardi; AppFolio knowledge a plus
Ability to travel to property sites and work out of the Brooklyn office
Independent, proactive, and capable of growing with a scaling platform
