About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to lead and enhance our organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This role plays a critical part in providing actionable financial insights that guide strategic decision‑making and support the organization’s growth. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with executive leadership, including the COO and Controller, as well as department leaders, to ensure financial plans align with organizational priorities.

This role offers the opportunity to influence and improve financial processes, reporting, and software platform integration as the organization positions itself for significant growth.

Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Budgeting

Lead and support the development of annual budgets, partnering with department leaders to establish realistic and effective budgets.

Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide guidance to ensure financial discipline across departments.

Build and maintain financial models to support long‑term planning and scenario analysis.

Forecasting

Prepare and update regular financial forecasts based on actual results, market trends, and organizational priorities.

Provide actionable insights on key financial drivers, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow.

Collaborate with leadership to adjust forecasts as needed to align with strategic objectives.

Analysis & Reporting

Conduct in‑depth financial analyses to support decision‑making around programs, personnel, and investments.

Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and the Board of Directors, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Track financial metrics and trends to identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.

Strategic & Operational Support

Provide financial modeling and analysis to support organizational strategy, initiatives, and projects.

Partner with department leaders to ensure strategic plans are financially sustainable and realistic.

Risk Management & Compliance

Identify potential financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responses to inquiries.

Process Improvement

Continuously evaluate and enhance budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.

Implement best practices in financial modeling, reporting, and analytics.

Stay informed on industry trends and financial best practices to inform planning activities.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial alignment across the organization.

Train and support department leaders in budgeting, forecasting, and financial best practices.

Present complex financial information in a clear and actionable way for non‑financial stakeholders.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred

4 – 6+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or analysis

Proficiency with financial analysis tools, software, and modeling techniques (e.g., Excel, FP&A software)

Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Nonprofit finance experience is a plus but not required
