Our client, a respected and growing organization based in Waterbury, CT , is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their team. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to management, driving initiatives that support employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for designated departments, supporting leaders and employees with day-to-day HR matters.

  • Partner with management on workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.

  • Support full employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, training, and offboarding.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and internal policies.

  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement in engagement, retention, and performance.

  • Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes.

  • Participate in HR projects such as policy updates, DE&I initiatives, and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a generalist or HRBP capacity.

  • Strong understanding of employment law, employee relations, and performance management.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and build trust across all levels.

  • Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP, Workday, or Paylocity preferred.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
