Job Summary The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs , a proud member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball , are seeking a motivated and outgoing Account Executive to join our front office team. This position is responsible for driving revenue through group outings, season ticket plans, and corporate partnerships , while building strong relationships throughout Southern Maryland's business and community network. Position Overview The Account Executive plays a key role in generating new business and maintaining existing relationships through ticket and partnership sales. This role includes prospecting, in-person networking, and representing the Blue Crabs at chamber events, community festivals, and other regional functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to fans and partners alike. Key Responsibilities
- Sell group outings, season ticket plans, and corporate partnership packages to local businesses, organizations, and individuals.
- Assist with the building, pricing, and marketing of individual tickets, packs, and season tickets.
- Generate new leads through outbound calls, emails, community engagement, and networking events.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage renewals and referrals.
- Represent the Blue Crabs at local chamber of commerce meetings, community events, and networking functions.
- Assist in the planning and execution of on-site group experiences and partner activations during games.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales goals set by leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and client communication in CRM.
- Provide outstanding customer service before, during, and after events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or sports/event marketing (internship experience considered).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a competitive, results-driven mindset.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting in-person sales meetings.
- Willingness to attend community events and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed during the season.
- Familiarity with CRM or ticketing systems a plus (e.g., Tickets.com, Salesforce).
