Description Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager level candidate with a strong background in the manufacturing and distribution industries to join their team. This role requires expert-level proficiency in Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) and a proven ability to streamline and improve processes across multiple departments, including Purchasing, Inventory Management, Accounting, Billing, and Accounts Receivable. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and financial accuracy for a company with multi-site operations across the U.S. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Drive process improvements across Purchasing, Inventory Management, Billing, and AR, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Epicor Prophet 21, optimizing system usage and training staff as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that enhance accuracy and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for multiple operational sites.
- Partner with leadership to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
- Expert-level experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (required).
- Strong understanding of inventory costing, purchasing workflows, and AR/AP processes.
- Proven track record of process improvement and cross-department collaboration.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
