SAFETY SENSITIVE ROLE - SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG TESTING

1st Shift
Monday-Friday, occasional evening/weekend overtime. 5 am to 8 am start time

POSITION SUMMARY
The Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, rework, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
" Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard
" Cut, prepare, and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, apply conformal coat, marking, and adhesive bonding
" Follow written and verbal instructions
" Complete work according to instructions, specifications, and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision
" Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
" Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates' work to ensure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawings
" Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, adhering to 6S standards
" Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record
" Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures
" Additional job duties and tasks as needed
" Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed
" Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience

Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment, or completed OJT training for at least five products

Skills:
" Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions in English
" Effective oral and written communication
" Must be able to work all shifts and be available for overtime and weekends as needed
" Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned
" Use hand tools, power tools, and an electric soldering gun
" Lift and Carry up to 30lbs
" Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings
" Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations
" Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
" Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering
" Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedures
" Experience with MS Office Suite
" Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
Candidate Requirement: Candidate must pass a hands-on assessment to be moved to the in-person interview stage of the recruitment process. Candidates unable to pass the evaluation will not move forward in the process.
Physical Requirements
" Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in the indoor company facilities
" Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side
" Perform major hand grasping and delicate finger manipulations using both hands
" Perform light lifting from the floor, table, and shelf
" Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded
" Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling, exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces
