- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity and promptly report any observations according to established protocols.
- Assist with controlling access to the premises, verifying credentials of individuals entering the location as required.
- Document incidents and daily activities clearly and accurately in logs or reports.
- Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns.
- Remain alert and observant throughout the shift to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
- At least 2 years of security experience are required.
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience are required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
