As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated manufacturing and industrial locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining clear communication. - Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to questions or concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including following evacuation procedures and/or notifying appropriate personnel.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
- Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
