About the role Looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within the organization. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. A successful staff accountant should have a solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, strong financial analysis skills, possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure. What you'll do Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording invoices, bank deposits and other journal entries. Prepare bank reconciliations. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet, sub-ledger and general ledger accounts. Support month, quarter, and year-end close procedures. Compile ad hoc daily/weekly, monthly reports and reconciliations. Prepare financial analyses and reports. Support quarterly, annual and statutory financial audits. Support internal control over financial reporting audits. Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP principles. Accounting special projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another business-related field Minimum 2 years of accounting experience with working knowledge of recording journal entries and preparing reconciliations Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP Proficient in Excel Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Strong analytical, technical skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal, and written communication skills Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities that require strong project management, decision-making capabilities, and flexibility Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Zevra is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
