DSA is seeking an Enterprise Security Specialist (Senior) with a Secret Clearance to work at the customer Pentagon office. The role focuses on providing cybersecurity support in a high‑tempo DoD environment.
Responsibilities
Fill the DoD Risk Management Framework role of Senior Information System Security Officer (S‑ISSO).
Integrate cybersecurity compliance (FISMA, RMF), operations, and SDLC security activities for all applicable environments and efforts.
Support all organization‑wide information governance activities and ensure adherence to enterprise information security policies, standards, and practices.
Review and edit existing Information Security Policies, procedures, and Standards.
Combine cybersecurity with Agile application development and DevSecOps, with experience in cloud platform services, build/release management, and automating security processes in CI/CD pipelines.
Resolve problems, mitigate delays and disputes, and escalated issues.
Understand complex information and communicate it to diverse professional backgrounds.
Recommend adaptations to respond to dynamic cybersecurity landscape and continually improve security processes and posture.
Plan, direct, and manage day‑to‑day cybersecurity project tasks and develop project plans to completion within time and resource constraints.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in computer science, information assurance/cybersecurity engineering, or mathematics from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise information assurance/cybersecurity, cybersecurity operations, and federal cybersecurity compliance.
Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework and understanding of NIST SP 800‑53 and CNSSI 1253 security controls.
8570 compliant DoD IAT and IAM Level III with field‑related certifications from internationally recognized certification bodies and at least one cloud security certification.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, with experience communicating with the highest levels of management.
Knowledge of government and industry‑accepted cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Desired Qualifications
Additional cloud platform specific (AWS) security certification.
Excellence in planning, directing, and managing software development, platform operations, and/or cybersecurity projects.
Knowledge of industry‑accepted standards and best practices related to Software Development, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity.
Experience in a DoD IT environment.
Excellent communication skills at senior government levels.
