DSA is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect with a Secret Clearance to work at the customer location at the Pentagon with experience in supporting large complex cloud operation projects in a high tempo DoD environment.
Responsibilities
Design and develop a cloud platform that is robust, scalable, and modeled on defense-in-depth and inherent security to translate policy, mission, and technical requirements to the enterprise
Map user and application requirements in order to provide system and integration guidance to a team of cloud-certified engineers
Contribute extensive knowledge of modern software development techniques and technology to design services that leverage leading technologies and architecture to produce services that meet customers’ demands
Responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring the environment and deployments IAW DoD Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) requirements
Design and develop an automated DevSecOps Pipeline, CI/CD support infrastructure, and data validation pipeline
Creation of testing and implementation plans for all architectural designs
Manage the complete life cycle for all components with expert knowledge of technical design alternatives, including open source, and their implications by guiding the development teams in overall application technical design activities
Provide recommendations to both developers and engineers as necessary to ensure a secure implementation of applications and assist engineers in the configuration of software and services
Manage system architecture, system integration, system standards, system design, and requirements specifications
Ensure compliance with government and industry standards and best practices
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of cloud architectures, integration architectures, and Army PPB processes with complete understanding of integration into BEA
Undergraduate degree in systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, or relevant engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of related technical specialized experience in the design, development, and implementation of complex, large-scale, enterprise information systems
Minimum 3‑5 years of work experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Certification: Certified Cloud Solutions Architect
Exceptional understanding of cloud computing technologies and computing trends, familiarity with enterprise architecture and enterprise application integration
Adept knowledge of data modeling best practices and practical knowledge of Agile software development methodology
Expert knowledge of key security concepts
Expert knowledge of data integration technologies and experience with business intelligence/analytics implementations
Proficient in evaluating current or emerging technologies for security, reliability, performance, cost optimization, and operations
Proficient with complex problem solving and analytical thinking
Experience architecting cloud solutions and thorough knowledge of SDLC
Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication, with preference for experience communicating with the highest levels of management
Knowledge of industry‑accepted cloud standards and best practices
Desired Requirements
Knowledge of industry‑accepted standards and best practices related to software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity
Demonstrated experience in a DoD IT environment
Excellent communication skills at senior government levels
