DreamWorks Technology – Systems Administrator, Operations DreamWorks Animation, a leading producer of high‑quality animated films and series, is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join the OSA team. The role focuses on providing end‑user support, maintaining desktop environments, troubleshooting infrastructure, and collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Base Pay Range:

$70,000 – $85,000 per year

Location:

Full‑time, on‑site at DreamWorks designated worksite (location provided upon hire)

Job Description “What would you say you do here?”

Provide world‑class support for day‑to‑day studio operations and initiatives.

Advocate for clients within other technology departments to support DreamWorks projects.

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support infrastructure upgrades and changes.

Triage and resolve support incidents in a timely manner to minimize productivity loss.

Serve as the main point of contact for end‑user support incidents.

Analyze issues and develop solutions for hardware and software problems.

Build, install, maintain and troubleshoot Linux, macOS, and Windows desktops and laptops.

Work with System Engineers and Architects on studio initiatives.

Manage small to medium‑sized projects to achieve objectives on schedule.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

Manage software license installations.

Provide technical expertise and ownership of application debugging across departments.

Deliver outstanding end‑user support via phone, ticketing (Jira), and deskside visits.

Create tools to automate processes for increased departmental efficiencies.

Set up and move systems as necessary.

Participate in preventative maintenance tasks.

Assist in creating and maintaining support documentation.

Escalate issues to other technology departments such as Asset Management and A/V.

Create and manage user accounts.

Qualifications “What do I need to have in order to do this job?”

Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting UNIX/Linux and/or Windows in an enterprise environment (SSH, rsync, Active Directory, Group Policies, File Sharing, Print Services).

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.

Strong customer service skills.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of LAN/WAN configuration and concepts.

Knowledge of common scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience supporting Gmail and Google Workspace.

Experience in a production environment.

Ability to prioritize objectives and manage time effectively.

Capacity to learn quickly and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required On‑Site:

This position is required to be performed full‑time from the DreamWorks designated worksite.
