Business Development Manager

Chicago, IL (Onsite, 5 days a week) Hunden Partners is growing and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team! This role is key to driving the firm’s growth by coordinating proposal development, managing RFP responses, and supporting business development strategy and operations. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure our proposals and client materials reflect the quality and expertise Hunden is known for. As the Business Development Manager, you’ll manage the proposal pipeline, oversee submissions from start to finish, and guide team members through the business development process. This position is perfect for someone who loves organization, writing, collaboration, and contributing to meaningful projects across the country. Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $95K - $105K Dependent on Experience Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match Quarterly Bonus: Based on personal and Firm performance What You’ll Do

Manage the proposal funnel, tracking opportunities, deadlines, and assignments. Coordinate with EVPs and the VP of Business Development to align proposals with firm strategy and client needs. Prepare and review proposals, ensuring timely, high-quality, and brand-consistent submissions. Maintain and improve CRM data and business development tracking systems. Support scheduling, follow-up, and internal coordination for business development activities. Monitor public RFPs and procurement platforms, identify high-value pursuits, and support go/no-go decisions. Mentor junior BD team members and contribute to improving tools, templates, and workflows. Represent Hunden Partners at industry events and conferences to build visibility and relationships. What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. 5+ years of experience in proposal management, business development coordination, or related professional services role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems; Adobe InDesign experience preferred. Strong understanding of RFP processes, proposal writing, and project coordination. Excellent organization, writing, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset.
