office is currently seeking an

Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer

to support site/civil and utility engineering functions associated with projects throughout North Carolina. This position will work in a multi‑disciplined team environment with designers, landscape architects, and professional engineers to prepare site/civil and utility construction drawings. Clients may include universities, local government, federal government, municipal government, and private land developers.

Responsibilities

Civil/Site development including grading design; roadway design; storm water management systems design; sanitary sewer design, water design, and erosion and sediment control design.

Work with a Professional Engineer in preparing all associated drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.

Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Use AutoCAD, Civil3D, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam to perform technical work.

Learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards and perform quality reviews of assigned tasks.

Required Skills & Required Experience

BS degree in Civil Engineering.

EIT is required.

0-2 years of design experience related to site development projects.

AutoCAD Civil3D proficiency.

Able to work on different tasks with teams and meet project deadlines.

Work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.

Communicates effectively.

Composes technical reports, permit documents, memorandums, and other written communication such as email.
