VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is actively recruiting to fill a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist to help care for our Veterans – America’s Heroes! At the VA, our health care teams are deeply experienced and guided by the needs of Veterans, their families, and caregivers.
The VA Loma Linda Healthcare system is affiliated with Loma Linda University Health Medical School. Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows is an integral part of the position. The position provides an outstanding opportunity for individuals committed to an academic career in clinical care, teaching and research and requires excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to team building.
Responsibilities
Provide all services required in the practice of Neurology in the context of the VA system and maintain clinical privileges.
Provide appropriate documentation in the electronic record.
See patients in the outpatient general neurology consult and follow-up clinics.
Conduct both in-person and virtual outpatient clinics.
Take calls from the ED as needed.
Responsible for the oversight of all aspects of neurological care delivered to assigned patients.
Perform neurologic procedures such as NCS/EMG, EEG interpretation, and/or botox administration commensurate with training and expertise, in accordance with VA credentialing and privileging requirements.
Supervise and teach neurology residents and medical students during their Neurology rotation.
Qualifications Preferred:
Board Certified Neurologist. General Neurologist experience in both outpatient and inpatient neurology stroke. Interest or additional training in vascular neurology is desirable.
Salary $275,000 – $300,000 per year
Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
