What to Expect
As a member of the Tesla steering firmware team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality embedded code that controls the steering rack and feedback actuator on steer-by-wire systems. You will solve some of the most challenging problems that span vehicle dynamics, motor controls, safety systems, and embedded software engineering.
What You'll Do
Deliver high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environment
Develop peripheral drivers for microcontrollers (CAN, SPI, ADC, PWM, SENT)
Develop device drivers for angle sensors, gate drivers and other devices
Write software-in-the-loop (SIL) tests using python
Hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging and code optimization
Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements
Collaborate with validation, service and manufacturing counterparts to deliver safe, reliable and scalable product(s)
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar areas of study, or equivalent experience
Proficiency in C, familiarity with MISRA C a plus
Proficiency in Python
Fluent in software fundamentals including software design and maintainability
Experience with embedded microprocessor tools
Experience working with PCBA schematics
Experience with real-time operating system development
Experience using Vector CANape or CANalyzer a plus

Expected Compensation $111,200 - $433,680/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
