Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) invites experienced healthcare executives to apply for the Vice President of Healthcare Operations role to oversee multi‑state healthcare operations, including Senior Choice at Home, PACE development, capital investments, culinary operations, supply contracts, and business intelligence.
About the Job Responsible for oversight of healthcare operations including culinary, supply contracts, capital investments, development of PACE, and business analysis in compliance with federal, state and VOANS requirements and standards for the assigned regional area.
Schedule Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM (Fully Remote)
Salary $164,000‑$180,000 (Based on years of experience)

Essentials The Vice President of Healthcare Operations has responsibilities divided into six broad categories: organization, planning, management, financial resources, human resources and leadership.
Oversee the supervision of each facility/program to ensure adequate level of service, financial performance and resident dignity
Ensure region is in full compliance with government rules and organization policies
Participate in ongoing educational programs to maintain professional status and stay current on healthcare trends
Participate with the Senior Vice President of Healthcare in periodic regional reviews
Monitor hiring, training, supervisory and termination practices for compliance with policies and regulations
Oversee and/or develop special project assignments that benefit the organization structure and goals
Senior Choice at Home responsibilities:
Manage growth, financial, satisfaction, quality and compliance aspects of the program
Create and manage a sales plan for enrollments
Oversee care management of enrollments
Assure financial viability of the program
Assure compliance with insurance regulations
Culinary/Food Cost and Service Oversight:
Manage and monitor culinary and food‑related expenditures for cost‑effectiveness and quality
Analyze food cost reports and implement budgeting strategies
Collaborate with culinary teams to enhance menu offerings while staying within budget
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
Supply Contract and Service Oversight:
Manage and oversee all supply contracts for quality, cost‑efficiency, and compliance
Negotiate and evaluate supplier contracts for favorable terms
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
Conduct regular reviews of supply chain processes for improvements
Capital Investment Oversight in Facilities and Maintenance:
Oversee capital investments related to facilities and maintenance, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to timelines
Collaborate with onsite maintenance employees and construction services to plan upgrades and renovations
Monitor project budgets and timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders
Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and organizational policies
Development of PACE Services:
Assist in strategic development and implementation of PACE services
Work with management teams to develop and enhance PACE
Prepare for CMS and State Audits through operational team collaboration
Conduct market research to identify community needs for PACE expansion
Evaluate effectiveness of current services and recommend improvements
Business Analysis and Intelligence Tool Development:
Conduct comprehensive business analyses to support decision‑making for leadership and enhance business intelligence capabilities
Generate and analyze reports based on data analysis for strategic planning
Collaborate with SVP and Regional VPs to identify key performance indicators
Assist in developing advanced business intelligence tools for data reporting
Healthcare Facility Licensure Compliance:
Ensure facilities maintain current licenses and comply with regulatory standards
Regularly review licensure requirements for all facilities
Prepare documentation for renewals and submit to regulators
Program Acquisitions or Divestitures Oversight:
Oversee acquisition/divestiture of programs, ensuring strategic alignment
Conduct due diligence and financial analysis for potential transactions
Collaborate with legal and financial teams to negotiate terms and finalize agreements
Develop and manage transition plans for integration or phase‑out
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
Minimum of ten years of successful executive management experience
Licensed as a Healthcare Administrator in the state of operation
Multi‑state experience and ability to manage multiple facilities and services
Excellent communication skills
Understanding basic computer skills
Ability to prioritize and set goals
Ability to work flexible hours (required) and travel routinely 50%
