Job Summary
The Project Manager in GME will be responsible for managing all aspects of projects to support GME Office operations. This role involves working closely with various programs, departmental, and hospital stakeholders to support training program improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, and summarizing project status for the Director of GME Accreditation and DIO. The Project Manager will lead and manage cross-functional projects that drive educational program change and ensure alignment of training programs with the strategic goals of the organization.
Responsibilities
Define professional development and educational objectives for stakeholders within and across programs based on program and institutional performance and accreditation data and hospital leadership priorities.
Define educational initiative scope and deliverables that support GME objectives.
Develop and implement strategies for GME stakeholder engagement.
Engage with external and internal speakers and content experts.
Develop and implement evaluation and stakeholder satisfaction tools and assessments.
Partner with the Director of GME Accreditation and DIO on strategic planning for professional development of program directors, associate program directors, program faculty, and residents/fellows in non-specialty specific areas.
Document compliance with ACGME-required areas of non-specialty specific education and prepare reports for institutional site visits and hospital leadership.
Manage GME grand rounds planning, reimbursement, and strategies to increase collaboration between programs and departments.
Manage annual seminars, such as the Program Director/Associate Program Director Bootcamp, Program Administrator Bootcamp, and Chief Resident/Fellow Orientation/Training.
Manages program simulation requests and budgets to optimize efficiency and address program accreditation and quality gaps.
Undertake special projects and assignments as directed.
Qualifications / Requirements Experience
Two years of progressively responsible experience devoted to project management, required
Two years of experience in project management in a public health, clinical setting, health regulatory or health services related organization or program, preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree, required
Master's degree, preferred
Licenses / Certifications
Project Manager Profession (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, preferred
Other
Project coordination and/or management organization using project management techniques and tools.
Ability to specify, analyze, interpret and present project data.
Ability to analyze workflow; knowledge and ability to utilize change management/quality and process improvement techniques.
Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
