Pay Range: $38.55 – $50.53 per hour
Job Overview Responsible for performing and providing compatibility tests for patients' blood transfusion needs as per the established standard operating procedure. Effectively manage and utilize the blood and blood product inventory. Assistance with the preparation and collection of quality control/assurance data reports and performance of quality audits as assigned.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Provide services meeting the goals of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Perform compatibility tests for patients' blood transfusion needs and manage blood product inventory.
Assist in preparation and collection of quality control/assurance data reports.
Perform quality audits as assigned.
Ensure reliable and accurate laboratory test results contributing to diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention.
Demonstrate effective patient and customer service skills aligned with hospital core values.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
Two to three years of clinical lab experience.
ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
Scheduling Requirements
Full-time schedule.
Must work holidays and weekends.
Day Shift.
