The Cell Therapy & Transplant (CTT) Medical Director will lead the medical and clinical development strategy for CareDx’s cell‑therapy and bone‑marrow‑transplant monitoring products, including AlloHeme, AutoCell, and AlloCell. Responsibilities include designing and executing clinical trials, leading research collaborations, drafting manuscripts and abstracts, and developing data plans to support CLIA validation, product launch, and reimbursement.

Responsibilities

Design and execute sponsored clinical studies and support registries, investigator‑initiated trials, grants, and research collaborations.

Act as a senior company medical representative and interact with external scientific leaders, patient advocacy groups, payors, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory authorities.

Develop and execute a comprehensive abstracts and publication plan, overseeing final submissions and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

Present at conferences and other scientific meetings; when needed, work with external clinicians to present on CareDx’s behalf.

Serve as the primary clinical resource for the commercial team, providing scientific and clinical leadership for product and business development strategies.

Organize and execute scientific and clinical advisory boards.

Propose, implement, and monitor clinical studies in collaboration with clinical operations and medical affairs.

Support scientific and clinical initiatives at key clinical and scientific meetings.

Coordinate with CareDx’s organization to secure necessary resources for new clinical opportunities.

Work closely with the VP of Cell Therapy & Transplant, R&D, and business development to evaluate new opportunities.

Qualifications

Medical‑degree physician with experience beyond training for a Medical Director role; candidates without a medical degree but with equivalent clinical expertise may be considered for a medical science liaison role.

Prior industry experience in cell‑therapy therapeutics or diagnostics preferred.

Proven leadership of clinical research and successful publication track record.

In‑depth understanding of diagnostic and molecular monitoring tests for hematologic malignancies, especially in patients undergoing cell therapy or bone‑marrow treatment.

Results‑oriented mindset, strong initiative, creativity, independence, sense of urgency, self‑motivation, and excellent time‑management skills.

Comfortable presenting to and partnering with executives, key thought leaders, and cross‑functional partners to solve complex business challenges.

Desire to work in a high‑growth, results‑oriented team environment with an unrelenting intellectual curiosity.

Travel required, up to 40%.
